In 2019, we raised funds to launch a pilot project through one of our long term project partners in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Through that program, we built new toilets, installed solar panels for lights & fans, started an annual medical checkup camp, and initiated a drinking water project in 10 remote hamlets across Chandauli & Sonbhadra districts. In a mere 6 months, we saw remarkable improvements in general health and learning among the children, well beyond our own expectations.

Inspired by the success of our pilot program, we want to expand this initiative to 5,600 children across our 25 projects. We are rolling out a 5 point program for each project to:

• PROVIDE ACCESS TO POTABLE WATER
• BUILD CLEAN TOILETS
• INSTALL SOLAR PANELS TO RUN LIGHTS & FANS
• SUPPORT A LIBRARY WITH TEACHING & LEARNING MATERIALS
• CONDUCT ANNUAL MEDICAL CHECKUP CAMPS

It is unfortunate that millions of children in India lack the basic necessities that are essential for growth. But you and I have an opportunity to change the lives of Asha’s 5,600 children. Will you join us?
